The Jungle Book
Shut to the end of the film, after Mowgli escapes from Kaa, the 4 vultures are bored and trying to remember of something to exercise (a running gag consists of Buzzie request Flaps "so what are we gonna exercise?", only to become an "I don't know" in response). They eventually spot Mowgli and determine to investigate him, at get-go poking fun at his "stork"-like legs. Hurt, Mowgli walks abroad, not caring if they laughed, and the vultures feel sorry for him, sympathizing with him since they themselves aren't ever the most popular animals in the jungle. To elevator Mowgli'south spirits, they sing That'south What Friends Are For, accidentally giving Shere Khan enough fourth dimension to discover and corner Mowgli. As Baloo holds off Shere Khan, the vultures accept Mowgli to safety so help him scare the trigger-happy tiger abroad with burn. In the terminate, they remark how ho-hum it'south going to exist without Mowgli around, and go back to wondering what they should do to pass the time.
The Jungle Book 2
The vultures once again appear in the jungle, this time accompanied by a new member, Lucky, who takes every opportunity he tin arrive making fun of Shere Khan. They are starting time seen equally Shere Khan is making his mode to the human being hamlet to extract revenge on Mowgli. The vultures introduce Shere Khan to Lucky who continues to make remarks until Shere Khan vanishes. Afterward Lucky begins to taunt Shere Khan yet once again but the Vultures, knowing Shere Khan'south power, begin to worry and telephone call Lucky back to the copse. He ignores their warnings and they begin to leave themselves until Lucky mentions Mowgli in the jungle. The vultures endeavour to tell Shere Khan otherwise but to no avail. Right later on Lucky is attacked and apparently killed, the other vultures wing abroad in horror (though at the near the end of the film it is revealed that he survived).
Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Flaps (one of the vultures) fabricated a cameo appearance with the other Toons in a brief head shot on the left side of Cyril Proudbottom the equus caballus during the final scene of Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
House of Mouse
The vultures have appeared in Firm of Mouse. In the episode "King Larry Swings In", they are a band about to perform until they are chased out past Rex Louie'southward twin brother Larry.
They appear in another episode, this time as customers. Following the running gag from the first moving-picture show, ane asks the other what they want to swallow, just for Airheaded to tell them not to "start that over again".
Mickey Mouse
Buzzie, Flaps, Ziggy, and Airheaded make a cursory cameo appearance in the episode "Mumbai Madness" when Mickey is seen driving through the desert.

Trivia
- Their number, appearance, hair, wait, and talk are freely based on the British stone grouping The Beatles. During production, the development staff were because the famous ring to voice the four vultures. But considering of extra work planning, John Lennon declined the offer.
- Their song "That'south What Friends are For" is a barbershop-way vocal rather than the '60s classic rock i would expect from their Liverpool accents.
- The reason for their vocal not beingness in the style of '60s rock is because Walt Disney idea it would exist too dated.
- Animator Will Finn used the Vultures as a reference when he animated Iago in Aladdin.
- As shown in concept art, there would accept originally been a fifth vulture named "Beaky", but he was dropped. In The Jungle Volume 2, he was replaced by some other Vulture named Lucky.
- Despite being the most talkative, Ziggy has the fewest lines of all the vultures in the original film. (In fact, at 1 point, he speaks with Flaps'south voice.)
- The vultures are similar to The Crows from Dumbo, where they start off making fun of protagonists at their lowest lows as outcasts (Dumbo having large ears for the Crows, Mowgli having "stork-like" legs for the Vultures), and when it upsets the protagonists so badly they presently changed their attitudes and became more supportive of their respective protagonists. In Dumbo's case is due to Timothy Mouse'southward lecture nearly Dumbo'south lamentable story, while for Mowgli's case it's the vultures' own decision to understand Mowgli.
- The vultures' portrayal as allies appeared to be a consummate subversion of the common portrayal of vultures equally villainous animals in near fictional stories.
- In the 2016 version of The Jungle Book, vultures practice appear, only unlike in the 1967 version, they are aligned with Shere Khan, whom they follow, scavenging from his kills and indicating his presence with screeching calls before he physically appears.
